Antonie Predock comes to West Texas

On April 16th, a few of us left Midland around 6:00am and drove up to Lubbock.  While there we sat in the 2nd part of the TSA Board Meeting, which was very informative about the issues that are going on with our profession at the State level.  After that we had the opportunity to hear a guest lecturer that Texas Tech College of Architecture Sponsored, Antoine Predock. Standing there in his over coat and scarf, he explained his approach to presentation drawings and how he tries to create atmosphere in his renderings, came together to form some very beautiful images of his conceptial designs.  He also walked us through his process at the beginning of a project, how he pulls various words, names, images, etc from the local community where the project is to be built and builds a giant collage that tells a story and takes the owner on a journey. By the end of the presentation Mr. Predock had talked about his career and various projects for nearly 2 hours.
