Greg Drake AHC FDAI with Best Access Solutions will be in the Midland office of PSC on July 19th to discuss ADA Basics of Door Hardware. The presentation will start at 12:00PM. Lunch will be provided by Best Access Solutions so please be sure to RSVP, by either accepting the email invite or by emailing Shane Danley, no later than Monday, July 17th so that our provider can plan for lunch.

Description: 

Attendees will learn the basics of Accessibility requirements as they relate to the total opening. Students will learn to recognize what openings need to be in compliance and how to specify those items for compliance.

Learning Objectives: 

1. Understand why an Owner or Facility Operator should comply with ADA
2. Understand what requirements are to be in compliance with ICC / ANSI A117.1 / ADAAG / ADA or with Locally adopted code requirements
3. Identify what opening components need to be ADA compliant
4. Understand how to specify those items to be in compliance
