WTxAIA - EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OFFICER NOMINATIONS

It is time to nominate the 2015 Slate of Officers for the West Texas Chapter AIA. The Chapter currently has several vacancies, several more positions ready to roll off of the committee and a need for some new volunteers in our chapter. It has been several years since we sent out a call for officers so we are opening up ALL POSITIONS for nomination. We are asking our membership to nominate either yourself or another member, whom you have talked with and they have agreed, to serve as a chapter officer for 2015. Please consider the list of Officers noted below, as well as see the Chapter By-Laws @ the link on the top right of the page for further descriptions of each position, and send Shane Danley a return email to nominate someone for any one of these positions. Please submit your nominations no later than Friday August 29, 2014. We will then present the 2015 Slate of Officers at the October 2, 2014 Membership meeting, also the TxA President dinner, for voting. We know that our Chapter members are very busy but ask that you take some time to seriously consider serving our Chapter. West Texas Chapter AIA 2015 Executive Committee Officers

TxA Director (2 Year Term)
Represents the West Texas Chapter AIA at TxA Board Meetings (4 Per year), Reports back to the Chapter. Travel Assistance is provided by the West Texas Chapter AIA. (May be an AIA or Associate AIA member)

President
The President shall act as spokesperson of this Chapter and as the representative at meetings with other organizations and committees as well as Chapter Meetings and Events. (Must be an AIA member)

Vice President / President Elect
Responsible for scheduling Chapter Meetings and Events. Acts as the president in the event of the absence of the President. The Vice President / President Elect shall succeed the office of President upon the expiration of the term of office of the President. (May be an AIA or Associate AIA member)

Secretary
The secretary will be responsible for recording of meeting minutes, correspondence with the chapter, custody of all property of this Chapter and maintaining membership roll. (May be an AIA or Associate AIA member)

Treasurer
Maintains financial affairs of the chapter and keeps records and books of account of this chapter. (May be an AIA or Associate AIA member)

Midland Director
Represents the needs of Midland in the Chapter.(May be an AIA or Associate AIA member)

Odessa Director
Represents the needs of Odessa in the Chapter. (May be an AIA or Associate AIA member)

San Angelo Director
Represents the needs of San Angelo in the Chapter. (May be an AIA or Associate AIA member)

Associate Director / Emerging Professionals Director
Represents the need of Associate Members as well and Emerging Professionals and Young Architects. (May be an AIA or Associate AIA member)
